MCC & JOC

OvervieW

The two separate courses and the combined course listed below are multi pilot courses offered by CAVOK Aviation training. Completing the courses are necessary and recommended if you have just finished your airline pilot training and planning to apply for an airline in the near future.

MCC COURSE

Multi Crew Cooperation is one of the most important course towards your airline pilot interview. While you learn very well how to fly in single-pilot operation either VFR of IFR during your initial training and commercial pilot course, MCC course teaches you how to perform the duties of a pilot on multi-pilot aeroplanes. The learning objectives of the course includes the introduction to multi crew concept, crew cooperation and coordination, precise cockpit communication, clear distribution of workload, crosschecks, flight monitoring, call-outs and briefings, as well as the correct use of checklists and special actions in emergency situations. The training emphasizes the development of non-technical skills applicable to working in a multi-crew environment. MCC course also includes the opportunity to practice the skills that are necessary to be effective team leaders and members. This is achieved by training exercises in which the applicants are crew-members in the pilot flying (PF) and the pilot not flying or monitoring (PNF) roles.

MCC course must be done in pairs and consists of a theoretical training and 20 hours practical training on simulator with 10 hrs PF and 10 hrs PNF time. It takes around 10-14 days to complete this training. For the training you can chose the turboprop King Air FNPT II or the Airbus A320 FNPT II.

joc course

Reciprocating or turbofan engines, a major difference not only in the technical structure of the aircraft, but also in its operation principles. While MCC is a pre-requisite by most of the airlines, some airlines require to Jet Orientation Course course as well. JOC will help you to get familiar with the basics of jet engine operation, the high altitude aerodynamics and common jet aircraft systems. On top of the basic part of the training, JOC is great to deepen your simulator experience gained in an airline environment.

The course has two parts, a theoretical training and a simulator exercise of 10 hours exclusively done on the Airbus A320 FNPT II. Similarly to the MCC, this course has to be done in pairs. It takes around 5-7 days to complete this course.

mcc-joc combined

Best choice if you need both the MCC and JOC on Airbus A320 FNPT II. This course combines the advantages of the MCC and JOC stand-alone courses while it saves you a lot. Doing the two courses in a package gives you the opportunity to deepen your professional pilot skills and familiarize all the important steps towards you airline career.

The MCC-JOC course has both theoretical and practical parts done fully on the Airbus A320 FNPT II and includes 28 simulator hours, shared between the two pilots as PF and PNF time. Completing the combined course takes around 2 weeks.
